スラングの起源、由来。語源や成り立ち

「Smuggling」の語源については諸説あります。一説には、17世紀にオランダ語の「smokkelen」（密輸する）が英語に取り入れられたとされています。また、もう一つの説では、英語の「smug」（自己満足な、自己中心的な）と「muggle」（魔法を使えない人々を指すハリー・ポッターシリーズの造語）を組み合わせたものだとされています。しかし、正確な起源は不明です。
